oc info — valisca

an art student once consumed by her need for beauty and perfection fell into despair when the painting she so desperately wanted to paint turned out to be just as imperfect as she was each time she started over. her compulsive obsession with perfection turned her into the witch valisca, a witch who traps her intruders in a maze of mirrors, confronting them with their imperfections and unachievable ideals.

her name comes from the latin word "valis" (meaning mirror)

witch appearance

valisca's form is primarily a silhouette, with her body largely obscured behind her beautiful mirror. it is surrounded by vines and roses, with a large white bow decorating its bottom. she seems to be constantly weeping and eating cherries, even during battle, spitting out their pits periodically (like a machine gun). her hair is long, usually flowing down like it could stretch endlessly with wind blowing through them at all times.

domain characteristics

in the real world, valisca first manifests as a crack in reality, a shattered mirror texture on a surface that would seem impossible to shatter. once a magical girl enters her domain, she is met with a warped and chaotic fairytale consisting of an ever shifting labyrinth of mirrors and impossible spaces of endless reflections. her minions are glasslike faceless creatures that resemble deer; they dont directly attack though. instead they just disorient and confuse intruders.

her domain also allows her to mimic or clone other magical girls and their abilities, which usually ends up messing with the intruders' psyches while also being up to par with their own strength.

character backstory

(i don't have a design for her yet, but since it is all based on my persona, she will probably look like me anyway)

the girl's life was built on a single, unrelenting persuit: her own perfection.
a brilliant art student from a prestigious college consumed by her obsession; she believed that true beauty could only be captured in an idealized self portrait she imagined in her mind. everyday she would spend hours in front of mirrors, scrutinizing her features, always striving for an unattainable version of herself. no matter how flawless her paintings were she always felt that they ans she were incomplete.
her art became a reflection of this obsession. she spent countless hours repainting her self portraits, each one more distorted than her last, unable to accept that her vision of a perfect painting could never be achieved... day by day she isolated herself more, trapped in a cycle of artistic failure.

aaand then kyubey appeared; the wish she made is probably obvious.
