world info — year of gratitude

it's set in a frozen tundra where a shepherd culture survives because every seven years some of them voluntarily die to feed this massive underground mycelium organism that keeps the ecosystem alive. death is seasonal and ritualized and integrated into culture

the story is mostly about community pressure and choice and about what it means if your body keeps “living” after you're dead and goneand whether your life belongs to you or to the collective. in this project (which is hopefully going to be funded to be developed further) i want to.. live out my shepherd drawing urges...

smiles yeah theres these creatures which we called moos... heh.. being shepherded around by a girl.. and her dog.. thing
